Backpacking - A Camping List

Suggest that the work list from a backpackers camp, as their tools travel plan and pack for their purchases. There are two reasons for this. The first and most obvious reason is that if you forget something important, you can not hop the car and walk to the nearest Wal-Mart to buy replacement how when you drive (camping, I currently own three bottles of Two propane in this phenomenon). The second reason is less obvious thathelps to limit what they carry, which is very important if you bring everything back.

Here I show you my list. Sure, I'm not a thru-hiker, nor have I made four seasons backpack, but I have a couple of tours of 11 days and made many shorter trips, and this is what works for me:

Shelter

Most backpackers use certain types of tents. I have a Coleman Cobra two men small tent that I use when the weather is very cold (I had dreamschased by a polar bear jumping from Iceburg a night's sleep, if I Iceburg in my hammock in the evening then tried the temperature hovering around zero). But I found that if the ground permits, rules, and the circumstances, I go with a hammock. I carry the tarp for a roof over my hammock, and it came up in the hospital quickly for a group of nine during a sudden intense storm that was used while we were on track. Of course, you're going to be camping invery rocky terrain, you want a freestanding tent. If you want to go hiking in the snow heavier, you will be a tent seasons. Here is my refuge

Kelty Noah's Tarp 12 (I and 9 'plans, but for me the difference 9 oz is worth it for storm protection. It' has room for one person. I shared my plans sometimes. There are many tie-out I have so many possibilities for the set-up).
40 "x96" groundcloth polycryo (very light and very fine lines)

Asleep

Ultra Light fanatics would never be caught dead with anything but the absolute lightest down sleeping bags. More power to them. All my bags are synthetic. I live in a very rainy, and synthetic bags still loft and warmth when wet. Due to an unfortunate incident during a Scout trip, I spent a cold night in a bag and squeeze a bit more than 'too sticky was in order. Down the other side loses all loft when wet. Admittedly,There are many ways to dry your bag, but I would prepare for the worst, I am suffering with a few ounces and an extra small bag bulky.

Hammock home (I can not always, but it's nice when I can)
4.3 length Thermarest Guidel (I can present on earth or in the hammock insulation fund to be used when necessary. I also use it for a "chair" at times).
Sleeping bag (I have several and make up what the weather permits)
Pajamas(Ranges from hot weather underwear silk long underwear plus socks and a hat in cold)

Package

Some people prefer external frame packs, some prefer internal frame packs. Here are the main differences: an external frame pack on your back cooler and you have options on how to add speed to the outside of the box, but it tends to drive a bit 'farther from the back on an internal , internal frame packs laughs very back, close the real reductionLastpendelns, but hot on the back and there are fewer ways to carry your equipment. I prefer internal frame packs, simply because I was not an external framework, which did not find the back of my head when I look up. I have a few packages, but my current package is very easy, because this is a really good place to cut the pounds.

Gossamer Gear G5 Hyper Light Pack (I would not recommend it if you look hard on the gearbox, but I found, it will be good for me.)
Raincover

Water

I run groups will be heard outside the water on the track. I will do everything in my power to ensure that I was going to happen, or a group, I am with hiking.

Depending on the supply of water when hiking area'm, so I would like two Nalgene, a four-liter Platypus water bag and, if necessary, two empty bottles of one liter of mineral water. Note that if you are in your country and bring water bottles never held anything but water (clubSoda is just water with carbon dioxide) should carry in your pocket to go at night. The smell of food permeates the plastic.

Aquamira Water Treatment

Kitchen / Food

There are many options for easy high-tech ovens that are available today. I have the stove alcohol after reading an article online, and since it's pretty cool, and tends to remember a conversation starter (not to be very, very easy) will be what I use. Of course, if you go to aArea where you must rely on available fuels, with one of the most common white gas stove or even a dual-fuel stove that can use unleaded petrol stick.

Homemade tin stove + windscreen
Small bottle of methanol as a fuel
Aluminum pot (fat dish)
Titanium cup
Lexan Spork (Gotta have a Spork)

Security

Skimp on your tent, and one bathroom. Skimp on your sleeping bag, and you get cold. Skimp on safetyEquipment, and could die.

Survival Kit (in your pocket)
First Aid Kit
Light 'equivalent, water, and a magnesium fire starter (there are many cold, wet, windy nights, when the frustration of magnesium activated the fire)
Reflector
Pulsar two LEDs (one is always on the outside of my backpack checked)
Topo Map
Compass (I do not need GPS damn - take another, but if you are on the geocacheThe route I take)

Accessories

Some people take less to get a bit more '. I have found through experience that the elements that I use, and even those that I have if I do not regret it.

Trekking poles (they are very helpful when it is loaded with water in rough terrain and can be used to be the tarp on the floor Pitch)
Official Pencils + Pen + 2 golf courses (I have my pen and pencil, including my backup. Pencils are very light).
Bear Bag Cord
Several homemade stuff sacks
Camera (I carry a small digital with lithium batteries. Lithium batteries last long.)
Sunscreen
Insect repellent
Scarf
Toilet paper in an airtight freezer
plastic spatula (and sometimes the ground is too hard to kick a hole in boat)
Crocs Footwear field
Bottle of Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap
Lightweight broad-brimmed hat
Lip Balm
Sodium bicarbonate (for toothpaste)
Compact Toothbrush
A small bottle of hand sanitizer
Sunglasses with strap
Watch
Rain jacket and pants
Trash Bag (s) (usually bring two in case you get a flat tire. I too have a very good compact my trash, small bags work for me.)
Tape - a few feet wrapped around one of the Nalgene enough for me.
Multi-tool (caliper twice a potLifter)

Food

Please keep the junk food and completely separated from the rest of the pack of your products. Gallon Ziploc for this work is OK. You do not want to feel your backpack, or equipment such as food. Bears have excellent nose!

Two hot meals a day - porridge for breakfast and dinner for diversity
Cold Trail type food for lunch / snacks. (Be sure to plan for a lot of calories, or you really start to feel in the middle of your trip.)

Clothing

I'm not going to list all the clothes you wear, because it changes significantly season to season. But I think it is important that the clothes pack (ie duplicate list items)

Another wicking t-shirt
Two extra wicking underwear
Two extra pairs of Smartwool socks (I know I did not want to go into details of clothing, but I remember this. I found the Trekker Socks Smartwool, are the best for backpacking. TheOverall bring three pairs, so I always (hopefully) a dry pair to change.)

Optional items for examination

You can think of other items you want to wear, but please remember that an ounce on the back of one pound on your feet!

Sock-liner (I hate them, but some people love them. With Smartwool socks, I have not bothered yet.)

Gaiters (I never used, but I'm sure they help to dry the socks in case of bad weather. You should try on my "list.)
ExtraZiplock bags / garbage bags
be feminine products (Backpacking can go Wacko your cycle, so prepared)
Reading glasses, if necessary (how else you want to read the paper?)

A Sharpie marker
Extra glasses, especially for contact lens wearers, with more contacts, contact solution

Deodorant (not recommended in bear country - really do not want to smell too cool to bear)

If the above list as a guide camping as you prepare for yournext backpacking trip, I assure you that you get what you wear, without a lot of things do you never use.
